Rev. Dr. Jon Vickery
Jon is the Priest-in-Charge of Christ Church Kelowna. He loves God, his family, dear friends, and old, leather-bound books (in that order). He is married and has three children.
Jon completed his doctorate through the University of Toronto. Alongside expounding the wonderful works of God in the Scriptures each week, he is deeply committed to the role and the witness of good theology in the Church. Theology, as William Ames puts it, is the doctrine of living unto God, and Jon loves to introduce people to the Church’s rich treasury of thought and devotion which, in a very lively way, inspires us to know, serve, and glorify God in Christ.
He loves a good pub where he can find one, and agrees wholeheartedly with C.S. Lewis that “……the sun looks down on nothing half so good as a household laughing together over a meal, or two friends talking over a pint of beer.”
